Town of Orange Animal Control is the recipient of a $3000 grant from Massachusetts Animal Coalition "I'm Animal Friendly" license plate program. The grant funds will be used to spay or neuter stray dogs in Dog Officer custody, as well as dogs and cats belonging to Orange residents. The Spay/Neuter Program will again help owners get their dogs and cats fixed beginning July 1, 2008.

Who We Are
Jon and I are the "Tag Team" Dog Officers for the Town of Orange. Loose dogs are picked up and kept at the Orange Impound Kennels, which are on private property in Warwick, MA. Because Orange has no municipal shelter facility, we CANNOT take surrenders. We will assist Orange residents in trying to resolve problem issues with their dogs, and in seeking shelter placement for a dog they no longer wish to keep.
We are both animal lovers and do anything we can to return the dogs we find to their owners. After a mandatory 10-day holding period, during which time try to locate the dog owner, the animal is given necessary veterinary care and a rabies vaccination, then is placed up for adoption. We believe in no kill of adoptable pets, because no animal should be put down just because someone has no room for them.
You wouldn't get rid of a human because he got too big for the house!!
Adopting a friend
If you are interested in one of our pets, we require you to be a least 21 years of age, and either a home owner or a renter with written permission from your landlord to adopt a dog. If these requirements are met, then you can apply for adoption of one of our pets.
Adoption Fee: $70.00
